Cubic AM4209 is a portable refrigerant leak detector developed based on Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology, which could be customized for highly sensitive leak detection of HFCs, HFOs, and blends of refrigerants including R32/R290/R410A/R134a/R454A/R454B/R454C/R1234ze/R1234yf. By measuring the infrared absorption characteristics of refrigerant molecules at specific wavelengths, the NDIR principle enables highly selective detection of HFCs, HFOs, and blended refrigerants. The built-in self-developed NDIR refrigerant gas sensors have long-term stabilities and eliminate the need for sensor replacement, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. The detector adopts an industrial-grade optical and signal processing design for both static and dynamic leak detection, capable of detecting static leaks as low as 0.03 oz/year (1 g/year) and dynamic leaks down to 0.1 oz/year (3 g/year), with a fast response time of less than one second.
