Malmberg TRITON Prefab Unit is an open filter in a prefabricated concrete tank. The unit is complete with TRITON filter bottom, pipe connections for inlet and outlet, backwashing with water or combined air/water, connection for the first filtrate and outlet weir for flushing water. With Malmberg TRITON Prefab Unit you can shorten the construction period and thus reduce the investment cost.
Malmberg TRITON Prefab Unit can be used as rapid filter in a water treatment plant or as polishing step in a waste water treatment plant. The filter system can be adapted to different filter media.

TRITON’s low-profile screens and elimination of the gravel layer make more room for added media or additional media layers for more effective treatment. This means that in new installations, the construction costs will decrease due to lower wall heights.
Improve Backwash Efficiency
You can apply water or combined air/water backwash. With better backwashing you will get longer filter runs and a cleaner, better performing filter bed.
