Pressurised Rainwater Harvesting Systems
Our pressurised rainwater harvesting systems are recommended for certain buildings and applications only. For example, buildings with a small block of toilets, or for irrigation or vehicle washing facilities. For more information on our pressurised systems.
How does a pressurised system work?
This system may be required in buildings with low water consumption, where roof space for a header tank is limited or where a pressurised supply is required for applications.
Rainwater distribution within the pressurised system follows the same process as the non pressurised system - the main difference being that water enters the control system and flows via a pressurisation unit as a direct supply to points of use.
In periods of low rainfall a WRAS compliant mains water backup activates, providing a continuous water supply. This tops-up a percentage of the underground storage tank.
Stormsaver provide two options of Pressurised systems; Singlex and Standard
The Singlex Pressurised control panel includes our unique automatically backwashing fine filtration unit, which has been tested to a million backwashes. This is always recommended where the client requires the highest quality of water or where a UV disinfection unit is to be included within the system. This ensures that when the rainwater passes through the UV unit it is filtered to 35 microns, thereby reducing the amount of particle build up on the UV tube so that the disinfection remains effective.
The Standard Pressurised control panel is much smaller and provides the simplest levels of control required to operate the system and is ideal for those watching the pennies, or who do not need such high levels of filtration.
More on our rainwater harvesting systems
All of the Stormsaver rainwater harvesting systems will make the most economic use of the local rainfall with predicted water consumption.
It is recommended that you speak to our expert staff to help you choose the correct type of system for your application and that you choose low water consuming products to complement the system, furthering a reduction in overall consumption.
All Stormsaver systems come with a 12 month warranty.
How much does it Cost?
The exact costing of each Pressurised Rainwater Harvesting System varies depending on your specific needs. However, it’s also worth noting that the Stormsaver rainwater harvesting system is an accredited part of the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme.
This means Stormsavers private clients can offset up to 100% of the taxable cost of the system against their tax bill at the end of the year.
