ESCO-LaborProcess Mixing Unit with Glass Vessel

SHARE

In the fields of chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, the development of liquid to pasty products at the testing stage is crucial. A process mixing unit with a glass vessel allows for the simulation of production conditions during research and development phases, enabling small-scale prototyping that mirrors industrial environments. Essential process parameters such as heating, cooling, vacuum application, stirring, stripping, and homogenizing can be adjusted to refine results. The laboratory mixers cater to these stringent requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during trials. This capability allows for optimized transition from test phase to full-scale production, minimizing discrepancies while elevating product quality. Speed control for elements like scrapers and homogenizers supports this adaptability, contributing to precision in product development.

In the research and development of liquid to pasty products in the chemical, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry, it is necessary that small quantities of the new product can be produced for test purposes from a certain stage of development. This should be done as close as possible to production, i.e. the conditions under which the test batches are produced must correspond to the later production conditions.

In addition, the relevant process parameters such as heating and cooling the product, working under vacuum, stirring and stripping as well as homogenising or dispersing the product must already be simulated during the laboratory tests and be modifiable for the optimisation of the results.

Our laboratory mixers have been developed and designed with these requirements in mind. They enable

  • Work under vacuum for the air-free manufacture of products
  • Material in contact with the product 1.4404 (316L), surface finish Ra 0.5
  • Effective, thorough mixing of the products with anchor stirrer and PTFE scraper blades
  • Intensive high shear homogenisation of the products using rotor/stator or dissolver systems
  • Double-jacked containers made of borosilicate for reproducible heating or cooling of the products
  • All associated drives as well as vacuum connection, vacuum gauge, product feed valve and feed funel are located on the container lid
  • Electric lift for removing the mixing elements from the container
  • Autoclavable version on request
  • Optional certificates: Elastomers: FDA, USP Class IV
