ESCO-LaborProcess Mixing Unit with Stainless Steel Vessel

SHARE
In the realms of chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, the process mixing unit with a stainless steel vessel becomes a critical tool during research and product development phases, particularly for liquid to pasty products. The unit facilitates the simulation of production conditions on a smaller scale, essential for testing and refining new product batches. The ability to replicate conditions such as heating, cooling, vacuum operations, and process simulations like stirring, stripping, homogenizing, and dispersing ensures that laboratory results can be effectively scaled up to full production runs. The mixers accommodate a range of process parameters to optimize product formulations, ensuring versatility and precision in development processes. A notable feature is the unit's adaptability, allowing users to modify and control variables, thus refining the quality and scalability of the forthcoming products.

In the research and development of liquid to pasty products in the chemical, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry, it is necessary that small quantities of the new product can be produced for test purposes from a certain stage of development. This should be done as close as possible to production, i.e. the conditions under which the test batches are produced must correspond to the later production conditions.

In addition, the relevant process parameters such as heating and cooling the product, working under vacuum, stirring and stripping as well as homogenising or dispersing the product must already be simulated during the laboratory tests and be modifiable in order to optimise the results.

Our laboratory mixers and scale-up mixers through to our production systems have been developed and designed with these requirements in mind.

They enable:

  • Working under vacuum for the air-free manufacture of products
  • Material in contact with the product 1.4404 (316L), surface finish Ra 0.5
  • Effective, thorough mixing of the products with anchor stirrer and PTFE scraper
  • Intensive homogenisation of the products using a rotor/stator or dissolver
  • Double-walled containers made of borosilicate for reproducible heating or cooling of the products
  • All associated drives as well as vacuum connection, vacuum gauge, product feed valve and feed hopper are located on the container lid
  • Electric lift for removing the mixing elements from the container
  • Autoclaveable version on request
  • Optional certificates: Elastomers: FDA, USP Class IV
