Exemplary operation algorithm
An exemplary cycle of bar screen cleaning includes the following steps:
- the hoisting crane with the grab moves to the designated screen area and stops over its first portion of the screen to be cleaned,
- the open grab is lowered and its prongs slide between the screen bars, collecting the debris from the water,
- when in its bottom position, the grab automatically closes and then travels upwards with the collected debris,
- once the grab has reached its upper position, the hoisting crane travels to the dump area and the grab opens, releasing its content into the waste container or collector,
- after unloading the debris, the hoisting crane travels back to the screen and is stopped over its next portion to be cleaned,
- the operation cycle is repeated until the whole screen is clean.
