PSL SystemtechnikModel cCF6 -Coaxial-Shear Cold Finger for Wax Deposition Analysis

SHARE
The Coaxial-Shear Cold Finger cCF6 is designed for detailed wax deposition analysis under shear conditions. This compact laboratory device features six measuring stations within a temperature-controlled water bath, ideal for studying wax deposits and the efficiency of wax inhibitors. It employs a magnetic stirrer to maintain crude oil samples above the Wax Appearance Temperature (WAT), while a cooled cylindrical element, referred to as a 'cold finger,' promotes wax deposit formation on its surface. Unique to this model, the cold fingers can rotate to simulate shear forces experienced in pipelines, with varying rotation speeds to match production conditions. The device allows simultaneous testing of multiple chemicals or concentrations, with samples pre-tempered in individual units. The almost sealed water bath minimizes liquid evaporation, supporting operations up to 80°C or 90°C with insulation to prevent condensation. Its design emphasizes ease of use, space efficiency, and accurate measurement of wax deposits, enhanced by removable sleeves for simplified cleaning and weighing.
