Quanta Pump Unit
The pump unit is equipped with a hydraulically-operated suction arm fitted with a turbo feed (submersible pump). This non-vacuum turbo feed can be lowered directly into the slurry cellar or silo and feeds the Bauer SX 1000 slurry pump. For situations where the suction arm cannot be lowered into the slurry, the pump unit can be optionally fitted with a vacuum pump. The suction arm can also be used for filling the water tank.
Cleaning the hose and slurry injector
After use, the hose and slurry injector can be rinsed off. To do this, the Bauer unit pumps water from the tank mounted on the pump unit. The water tank is galvanized and has a capacity of 5800 litres. To ensure that the hose is optimally cleaned the pump unit can be optionally fitted with a screw compressor, which blows a sponge ball through the hose after slurry injection. The manually controlled gear ensures operation of either the slurry pump or the compressor.
Radiographic controls
During slurry injection the tractor driver can operate the pump using the radiographic controls. This makes it possible to interrupt slurry discharge on the headland, thereby preventing pressure surges and other damage to the hose.
