ROBA stop silenzio - Quietest Safety Brake for Elevator and Stage Drives
The ROBA-stop®-silenzio® brake is a quiescent current actuated, electromagnetic safety brake. ROBA-stop®-silenzio® is suitable for the following applications: Use in elevator and stage drives; Ensure reliable and safe stopping in the event of power failure or disconnection of the power
Limits of use
It is not suitable for use in the following cases:
- Humid and wet areas, and other foreign substances.
- Corrosive environments
Sharp-edged interruptions of the friction surface
The ROBA-stop-silenzio is a quiescent current actuated, electromagnetic safety brake.
In the de-energised state, several compression springs press against the armature disks. The rotor is frictionally held between the armature disk and the intermediate disk or the intermediate disk and the flange plate or machine wall. The braking torque is introduced into the shaft via the teeth of the rotors and the hub.
The magnetic force of the coil in the coil carrier pulls the armature disk against the spring pressure against the coil carrier and the intermediate disk is pressed against the collar of the spacer bolts by the compression springs. The brake is released and the brake rotors with the hub can be released freely.
