PWL ProCatRake Screen for Mechanical Cleaning of Waste Water

SHARE

In the field of waste water treatment and treatment, we have specialized in physical-mechanical waste water treatment for industrial and municipal waste water and offer a wide range of modern machines that promote efficient waste water purification and the recovery of recyclable substances. Among other things, fine screens and coarse screens are included in the portfolio as chain circulation screens, also known as rake circulation screens.

The PWL ProCat ® rake screen can be equipped and used as a slotted or perforated plate screen. For example in municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants, in the paper industry or in slaughterhouses. Other areas of application are the food and recycling industries as well as power plants. The advantages of the robust and long-lasting circulation rake are supported by the ProCat ®Rake circulation screens combined with the hydraulic performance of single-flow screens such as stepped screens or spiral screens. With its inclined rack, this machine offers a maximum flow cross-section. The transport of the screenings from the channel is very space-saving and works highly efficiently without the use of spray water. A carry-over of screenings to subsequent parts of the plant can be ruled out due to the design.

The PWL ProCat ®Rake circulation screen is designed as a slot screen and combines the advantages of circulation screen systems with functional mechanics and an immovable screen field. The fixed bar grid, which can be removed from the screen frame, is inclined at an angle of between 36° (ProCat L) and 85° (ProCat I) according to individual requirements. This allows large hydraulic throughputs to be managed. The waste water flows through the slot grate made of aerodynamically shaped stainless steel triangular profiles. The contaminants are held back, picked up directly at the bottom of the sewer by robust clearing blades, transported to the discharge area and scraped off or discarded. A passively driven scraper mechanism pushes the screenings off the clearing blades without the use of brushes and spray water.

The number of clearing blades can be adapted to the individual task.
The screen grate is cleared very quickly – even in the case of flushing surges. The clearing process can be increased by the number of clearing blades installed and by increasing the clearing speed. If the PWL ProCat rake circulating rake is driven via a frequency converter, you can react to the load on the rake by changing the clearing speed.

  • Gap widths: 1 to 60 mm
  • Hole widths: 3 to 8 mm
  • Channel widths: up to 2,700 mm
  • Installation angle: 36° to 85°

A unique advantage of the PWL ProCat ® is the antiblocc ® system, which ensures reliable anti-blocking protection. The scraper plates are mounted on stainless steel spring dampers in the clearing beams in order to be able to automatically avoid resistance in the raking field. This minimizes both the risk of an immediate standstill or destruction and the violent pushing of screenings through the bar rack.

The ProCat is based on a self-supporting stainless steel construction in which the circulating bush conveyor chains with deflection, tensioning and drive units are arranged. Another separate unit is the computing field, which is inclined at 36° to 85°. It consists of aerodynamically shaped profiles, is bolted to the machine frame and can be replaced easily and inexpensively. In addition, the entire rake, including the grate, can be swiveled out of the channel. Above the channel, the rake has a complete hygienic casing made of stainless steel. All inspection covers can be closed with a square cam and removed completely. Handles ensure safe handling. The position and number of clearing plates that are located on the circulating conveyor chains You can – if necessary – adapt it to your needs. Guide rails prevent the clearing blades from deviating. These ensure continuous clearing of the screening field and transport the screenings to the discharge area.

  • High throughput thanks to triangular profiles and the incline of the rack
  • High separation efficiency due to the static design of the bar rack (no relative movements)
  • Clearing bar with the proven antiblocc ® system – gentle operation
  • High discharge speed and capacity
  • Insensitive to flushing shocks, sand and debris
  • Number of clearing bars individually adjustable
  • Insensitive flow guide plate in the bottom area
  • Screenings carried over are excluded due to the design
  • Bar rack easily exchangeable
  • aerodynamic slide rule profiles – low flow losses
  • No spray water use / no brushes
  • maintenance-free in the underwater area
  • ideally combinable with our screenings washing
  • Hygienic protection paneling with removable covers
