SIAD - Reciprocating Compressors for Hydrogen
SIAD Macchine Impianti hydrogen compressors are API 618 Reciprocating Compressors which are able to compress hydrogen for all types of applications. Depending on the delivery pressure, they can be oil free or lubricated for pressures up to 350 bar.
These compressors are equipped with a double spacer, rod seal packs with a gas recovery system and rods specially treated to prevent hydrogen embrittlement of the steel. The spacer chambers are flushed with inert gas (nitrogen), like the frame. In addition, specific materials in contact with hydrogen are used in the selection of flanges, gaskets and seals as well as specially designed valves.
Manufactured in accordance with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, these compressors can compress low or very high purity hydrogen, produced by PSAs.
