Knox Western - Model TP 65 / 75 / 90 / 100 -Reciprocating Gas Compressors
The TP Series by Knox Western is a line of reciprocating gas compressors known for its versatility and robust engineering, catering to varied compression needs with horsepower capabilities ranging from 60 to 500 bhp. These compressors are engineered for smooth operation with minimal vibration, thanks to a balanced opposed counterweight design and pressure lubrication of the running gear. They are capable of operating at high speeds up to 1800 RPM and can manage cylinder sizes up to 8.5 inches in diameter. The TP Series compressors support both single and multi-stage applications, with pressure capacities reaching up to 6500 PSIG. Various configurations are offered, including single, two, and four throw units. They can be equipped with either splash or force feed lubrication systems. The components utilized for construction, such as ductile iron for the crankshaft and carbon steel for the flywheel, ensure durability and reliability, adhering to high environmental and quality standards. The Single Throw, pressure lubricated, Knox-Western TP Series frame is designed for vibration free operation through a complete range of running speeds up to 1800 RPM by virtue of a balanced opposed counterweight and forced lubrication of the running gear. This frame can accept cylinder sizes as large as 8 1/2 inch diameter. Capable of one or two stages of compression.
The TP is a low horsepower line of compressors and was designed to meet a wide range of compression requirements. This compressor offers single and multistage applications to 6500 PSIG.
TP Series can be configured with distance pieces and special materials. It comes with a single, 2 and 4 throw configuration frame. The TP model can be splash lubricated or force feed lubricated.
