Knox Western - Model Eagle 2430 / 2435 / 2445 -Reciprocating Gas Compressors
The Eagle Series Compressors represent a versatile line of reciprocating gas compressors engineered for compatibility with contemporary high-speed drivers. With power ratings ranging from 60 to 500 brake horsepower (bhp) and operational speeds up to 1,800 revolutions per minute (rpm), these compressors are suitable for diverse industrial applications. The Eagle series features both two-throw and four-throw configurations, facilitating flexible deployment in various services with combined rod load ratings up to 60,000 pounds and a maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of 7,200 PSIG. Constructed with robust frames incorporating internal and external ribbing, the compressors deliver enhanced structural integrity. Key components like crankcases and crossheads use durable ductile iron, and full-pressure lubrication ensures optimal performance and longevity. These compressors are adaptable to a spectrum of operational requirements, offering precision and reliability.
Available in both two-throw and four-throw configurations with 3”, 3-1/2”, and 4-1/2” stroke, rated at 10,000 pounds Tension and Compression frame load capacity. This series uses the TP style as well as Eagle compressor cylinders mounted on a larger wider base, and accommodates up to 12” diameter bore cylinders.
The Eagle series is a mid range line of compressors, designed to be coupled with today’s high speed drivers. Rod load ratings to 60,000 pounds combined with MAWP to 7200 PSIG give this series of compressors the flexibility to by applied in a variety of services.
Eagle series frame is available in both 2 and 4 throw configurations and the heavy duty frames are designed with internal and external ribbing. Full pressure lubrication to the frame running gear is accomplished by a crank mounted oil pump. Single piece babbit-faced crossheads have full pressure lubrication top and bottom assuring minimal wear and long life.
