Regel Protect Adhesive

In response to the growing demand for better quality food preservation, Cromogenia Units has developed the Regel Protect adhesive as an alternative barrier solution. Typically, barrier materials like OPA, PET, PE-EVOH-PE, metallized film, ALU, and films with SiOx-AlOx are used to prolong the shelf life of food products. The Regel Protect adhesive can achieve similar barrier properties even with common materials such as PP and PE. The application requires only 4 to 10 grams per square meter of wet deposit, which allows it to be more cost-efficient, saving up to 40% compared to traditional barrier technologies. This development reflects the company’s specialization in polyurethane-based adhesives, offered in solvent-free, solvent-based, and water-based forms, catering to the converting industry under the FORZAL brand.

With the growth of technological development and the improvement in the quality of life, there is an increasing demand for better quality food and that is why a maximum level of conservation is necessary by the barrier materials, in order to prolong the useful life of such foods. The most common barrier materials include OPA, PET, PE-EVOH-PE, metallized film, ALU, film with SiOx-AlOx, etc.

Cromogenia Units has developed the alternative to create a barrier even with common materials such as PP and PE. It allows to save more than 40% compared to classic barrier technologies by applying 4 to 10 grams per square meter of the wet deposit.
