Topsun - Model TF Type -Restrained Joint Ductile Iron Pipe
The TF self-anchored interface adopts a T-shaped interface sealing structure. Compared with the T-type interface, it adds welding rings, movable split retaining rings, special pressure flanges and connecting bolts that are welded on the pipe socket end, so that the interface has better resistance to pull-out. The retaining ring and the pressure flange can slide, so that the interface has a certain axial expansion and deflection ability.
The axial thrust generated by the pressure pipeline at the bend, tee, etc. causes relative displacement of the socket assembly at the interface. The axial stress of the socket end is transmitted to the socket through the welding ring, the retaining ring, the pressure flange, the connecting screw, and the connecting bolt, so as to realize the transmission of the axial stress, and the interface has the anti-skid ability. When the frictional force between a certain length of constrained pipe and the surrounding soil exceeds the axial stress generated inside the pipe, the safe operation of the pipe can be ensured, thereby avoiding the construction of concrete support (suppression).
In the following cases, a certain length of self-anchored ductile iron pipe can be laid to prevent the pipeline interface from slipping:
- Elbows, tees, reducers and plugs, etc.;
- When the laying slope of the pipeline exceeds 20% (laying above ground) or 25% (laying underground):
- When it is not economical to set up concrete buttresses (such as large-diameter high-pressure pipelines, etc.) or under certain special circumstances, when the measures for setting up buttresses cannot be implemented, such as
- The construction site is too narrow and there is no space to set up the buttresses required by the regulations
- Tight construction period, etc.
