Rexnord filament bearings are truly on the cutting edge of bearing solution technology. Filament wound bearings are versatile and ready for use in a wide variety of applications. The self-lubricating nature of the liner combined with the high-strength and corrosion resistant support matrix allows these bearings to operate with little to no maintenance, even under extreme conditions. The woven Teflon® fiber-liner requires no lubrication, and the filament wound fiberglass and epoxy resin matrix produce a bearing that’s design flexible, maintenance-free, strong, and lightweight: the perfect bearing solution. Rexnord filament bearings commonly replace bronze bushings, brass bushings, copper bushings, Babbitt metal bushings, plastic bushings, steel ball bearings, plastic ball bearings, and other lubricated bearing materials.

Duralon filament wound bearings are truly innovative. Made from corrosion-resistant fiberglass and epoxy resin, these filament bearings are tough, lightweight, and easily customized. Designed for use in high load oscillating pivoting and linear applications where lubrication is an issue, Duralon composite filament bearings withstand extremely harsh environments and deliver outstanding performance.
 

Rexnord Duralon filament bearings are manufactured under the same AS9100D certified quality system as Rexnord’s Tuflite aerospace filament bearings. They are available in seven standard configurations including straight sleeve, hex and square bore, annular, linear, flanged sleeve and thrust washers, as well as custom designs. Rexnord Duralon bearings are U.S. designed and made, as well as RoHS and REACH compliant, and maintain peak performance throughout their lifecycle. Duralon’s fiberglass structure is 77% lighter than steel and 30% lighter than aluminum and is an electrical insulator. Duralon also helps prevent chemical, galvanic and fretting corrosion.
 

Our bearings have held up to rigorous testing, as well as extreme environments. Rexnord Duralon filament bearings withstand cryogenic temperatures and temperatures in excess of 325°F. Duralon filament wound bearings operate self-lubricated up to 30,000 psi dynamically and 77,000 psi statically.

Using the same outstanding engineering and design principles as Duralon, Rex RPT composite bearings are available in standard catalog sizes to meet your specific needs. These straight sleeve bearings are available in industry standard 1/8” to 1/4” wall sections and common bearing lengths. Designed for quick delivery, Rex RPT composite bearings are available when you need them. With maximum dynamic loading up to 12,000 psi and temperature tolerance from cryogenic to 325°F, these composite bearings are strong, reliable, and economical.

The original Rexnord non-metallic, self-lubricating composite bearing, Tuflite filament wound bearings are designed for the specific demands of commercial and military aerospace, naval, military land vehicle, and space applications.

Manufactured under an AS9100D certified quality system, Tuflite bearings are available in catalog straight sleeve and flanged sleeve bearing configurations, as well as thrust washers, annular bearings, and custom bearing designs. There is also a line of Tuflite bearings qualified to AS85560, the general specification for fiber reinforced plastic self-lubricating plain and flanged sleeve bearings. They are used anywhere from the depths of the ocean to the vacuum of outer space, operating at dynamic loads up to 30,000 psi and in temperature ranges from cryogenic to 325F.
