In 1976 Karl-Heinz Riezler founded his first company named RICO EAB and was one of the pioneers in the field of sewer inspection.

1992, two years after he left RICO EAB, he founded Riezler Electronic.

He brought all his know-how into the new company and the successfull products RIK 5505, RIK 3530 and RIK 5560 came to the fore.

1992: Introduction of the black/white inspection camera RIK 5505 SW.

1993: Development of the inspection camera RIK 5560 with halogen lighting.

1994: Mini camera RIK 3530. The smallest colour camera on the market.

1995: Crawler RR 100 with axial camera 5560.

1996: Due to the rising demand of our products, the company moved from Waltenhofen to Kempten. The new rooms offered more space and gave us the opportunity to grow even more.

1998: Development and introduction of the pan and tilt camera SK 65/115.

Over the next couple of years the distribution network in many European countries was expanded. Also a lot of product enhancements took place in a cooperation with our customers. The lighting of our cameras were converted from halogen to LED lighting. Further, new accessories for our cameras and crwaler were introduced.

2006: Mister Sebastian Riezler, the son of Karl-Heinz Riezler, complements the management.

Introduction of the Control Unit Comfort with integrated industry-computer and reporting software. This offered the opportunity to complete a inspection on location - without rework in the office.

2008: Our company has grown rapidly. Therefore we decided to move to Durach in a bigger building.

In the following years we took focus on development and innovations. First step was the digital-bus system to control our camera systems. We had to dismiss the analog technique. This was a tough decision, due the hundrets of systems with analog technique, that were still in use. But this step was neccessary to build a new generation of cameras.

Short after that, we introduced the axial camera head RIK 5570 with horizon compensation. It already worked with the new bus system. The focus of this product was on trouble-free operation, robustness and excellent image quality.

2009: Market launch of the pan and tilt camera head RSK 78110. Innovations were among others the control via the digital bus, internal pressure supervision, gravitation sensor, pan and tilt measurement.

Since 2010 the company operates under the registered trade name of RIEZLER Inspektionssysteme GmbH & Co. KG, after it has been tranformed to a GmbH (Limited). The alignment of the corportate form is a next step of our growth strategy.

2011 the new steerable crawler generation FWL 100 with new developed accessories, like a high-power additional lighting or a stepless adjustable camera lift. The first systems earned a lot of positive feedback of our customers, that proves the superb quality and robustness of our systems.

2013: Our latest control unit MSE-500, with proprietary software RiVision, is sent to the first customers and faces a huge enthusiasm. Likewise our new, big, steerable crawler FWL-150 and our campact axial camera RIK-3240. New is furthermore the modular setup of our inspection systems with which all our products can be combined and exchanged among each other.

2014: The control units MSE-100 and MSE-300 complete our control unit series. By that a suitable control unit can be chosen for every purpose. Furthermore our to date smallest pan and tilt camera head enters the market, whose highlights are the built-in parallel lasers.
