From the visionary to the market leader that remains a visionary today

A head full of visions, a claim to the best quality and genuine entrepreneurial spirit. This is how Josef MARTIN established his business in 1961. His ideas were way ahead of the times and he was able to pass on his passion for technology to his team. MARTIN GmbH employees and customers still perceive this positive spirit today. And the enthusiasm for work lives on.

Today, MARTIN GmbH has 80 employees and is ranked among the leading manufacturers of excavator attachment technology. The company sees environmental protection, sustainability and value creation in its own country as paramount. The internal production content is above average, the remainder is produced entirely in Central Europe.

1961 YEAR
Josef MARTIN establishes a locksmith and wainwrights business with small turning shop and trains the first apprentice.

1969 YEAR
MARTIN becomes a recognised steel hall builder.

1971 YEAR
The company building is expanded to encompass steel fabrication and management. The first CNC machine for turning, milling and grinding is installed. MARTIN starts job order production for customers such as HILTI.

1983 YEAR
MARTIN expands production in machine tools and steel construction. The export sector grows increases continuously with expansion of in-house sales.

1995 YEAR
Certification to ÖQS EN ISO 9001.

1999 YEAR
“Administration at the Braz site is expanded and the production area doubled.
MARTIN introduces its own ERP system (Bitaxe) and now has 80 employees.”

2002 YEAR
Development of the MARTIN Multi-Coupling starts. Designed to connect multiple hydraulic lines for attachments in the high-pressure range and with high flow rates.

2004 YEAR
Further exploitation of the European markets in all MARTIN product areas.

2010 YEAR
Plant II is enlarged to create more storage space and optimise the logistics process.

2007 YEAR
MARTIN celebrates its 50th anniversary.

2013 YEAR
Plant I is expanded to increase production capacities in machining technology.

2015 YEAR
MARTIN focuses fully on the excavator attachment and hydraulic coupling product groups.

2016 YEAR
Josef MARTIN GmbH is rebranded to MARTIN GmbH.

2020 YEAR
New company building in Ludesch
