The SafGard Rotary Drum Strainer (RDS) is designed engineered with a minimum of parts for high mechanical reliability and service life. Economical benefits provide savings, time and labor.
Each Rotary Drum Strainer consists of a cylindrical strainer drum, head box, frame/ chassis, solids discharge assembly, and chute, CIP internal spray system, and drive system to rotate the strainer drum.
The strainer drum is constructed of helical wound steel wedgewire. This insures a non-binding, drain free, self cleaning surface that is easily cleaned in place for maximum sanitary operation. Wedgewire strainer can be easily interchanged with alternate clearance strainers involving minimal mechanical adjustments.
