Begg - Model HDZP -Rotating Pan Vacuum Filters
Rotating table type vacuum filters are used for handling of solids / liquid extraction, especially for the phosphate fertiliser industry. These complex filters have been made by Jiangsu New Hongda since 2000. In 2005 alone, there were 40 made for the domestic China market. A wide range of filter sizes is available, and the biggest size so far built is 240m2.
Phosphoric Acid Application :
Phosphoric Acid plant (P2O5 / Cake)
The Phosphate cake processing rate is 18 T / m2 / day.
A typical P2O5 production rate is 1 T P2O5 per 5 T cake.
In comparison with the HDZP, standard tilting pan rotating filters (TP) have some key disadvantages :
- TP needs more maintenance and has more wear
- TP has a wetter discharged cake
- TP needs larger diameter / 60% more footprint to allow tilting operation
- TP has 45 – 55% higher cost price
