SA-Fire - Model VD -Deluge Valve

The deluge valves VD are used to control water flow in deluge, preaction, pressure regulating and ON/OFF fire protection systems. When equipped with the relevant accessories (pressure switch, water motor alarm), they can provide actuation of fire alarms upon system operation.

In normal operating conditions the deluge valve VD is held closed by the water pressure in the control chamber. In fire conditions water is released from the control chamber through the release system, and the valve latches open under the effect of the water supply pressure.

The deluge valve Mod. VD can be installed in vertical or horizontal position. It is designed for external resetting, without opening the valve. The cover plate allows in-line maintenance and field replace of the diaphragm to be performed.

The deluge valve Mod. VD is compatible with electric, pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and hydraulic release systems (trims).

The material of construction make it suitable for being used with sea water or water foam solution within industrial harsh environments & offshore applications
