The DS240 series from motrona comprises certified safety monitors designed to interface with SIL3/PLe certified sine-cosine encoders or sensors. The DS240 is equipped with a relay, four transistor outputs, an analogue output, and a signal distributor, making it suitable for high-integrity safety applications. An alternative model, the DS246, provides similar functionalities without a signal splitter. These devices are engineered to ensure precise speed and position monitoring, typically used in safety-critical applications such as wind towers. Each unit supports system parameter replication for streamlined setup and maintenance across devices with similar configurations. The motrona OS 10.0 software is compatible with Win 8.1 and higher platforms, facilitating easy integration and operation of safety devices, excluding MC700 motion controllers. This software supersedes the older OS 6.0 and enhances the user interface experience.
