Aquamonitrix - Sample Delivery System for Activated Sludge
The SETLR-monitrix from Aquamonitrix® is a next-generation analyser designed for real-time monitoring of settleability in wastewater treatment processes. Utilizing advanced optical sensing technology, it delivers precise, high-frequency measurements of sludge volume index (SVI) and sludge settling characteristics, enabling operators to optimize clarifier performance and improve process efficiency. Its automated operation reduces reliance on manual settleability tests, while its compact, plug-and-play design ensures easy integration into treatment plants. The setLR collects a 4 Ltrs sample from the aeration basin into the settlement tank. The supernatant is transferred into the sample containment tube which uses compressed air and a vacuum to separate a 50ml sample suitable for analysis in the NOx-monitrix in-process analyser. The time taken is 4 minutes from start to finish.
The setLR-monitrix works based on sample settlement instead of filtration which overcomes the problems associated with traditional filtration systems such as biofilm build-up and interference on measurement.
The setLR system is robust, and simple to use and maintain. As the internal components of the setLR are widely used within other common-day industrial applications they are readily available, extremely reliable and competitively priced.
