Using the so-called counter current principle, Sander Protein Skimmer Model I (external) allow for an intensive skimming process and the removal of toxic protein compounds. The big reaction tube provides excellent oxygen enrichment of the aquarium water. The Protein Skimmer Model I (external) can be operated with a water pump (injector) or with an air pump and wooden air stones.
