Santec - Model WSS-2000 -LCOS Based Programmable Optical Filter
The WSS-2000 is an advanced LCOS based Programmable Optical Filter developed by Santec. Utilizing proprietary LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology, this device offers unparalleled flexibility in optical filtering, attenuation, and switching configurations. Engineers can exploit its ability to execute a wide range of optical filtering schemes, with applications that include high-speed signal equalization, advanced optical transmission systems such as DWDM and OFDM, and as a versatile test and measurement tool. The WSS-2000 features optical switching configurations of 1x1, 1x2, and 1x4, along with an optional phase control and various specifications like a broad operating wavelength range of 1528.383 nm to 1567.543 nm and fine frequency setting resolution. Offering precise control with attenuation range up to 20dB and a setting resolution of 0.01dB, it supports innovative research in next-generation optical network technologies. Demo units are available under defined rental terms, facilitating hands-on evaluations.
The WSS-2000 is a LCOS based Programmable Optical Filter.
