SAREX - Model MX1500 -Decanter Centrifuge
The separated oil is recovered for reuse. The separated water can be treated and or reused. The centrifuged solids are discharged via a screw conveyor for subsequent. Thermal processing or disposal.
The SAREX ® MX-1500 is a modular three phase CENTRIFUGE SYSTEM for processing oily sludges from:
- Refinery K048-K052 and F037/F038 streams
- Oil production
- Chemical production
- Waterway bottoms
- Tanks and ponds sludges
- Substantial hydraulic volume reduction, generally greater than 80 percent.
- Recovered oil for reuse.
- RCRA exempt process under 40 CFR 261.4 and 261.6 exclusions.
- Reliable process results.
- Proven technology; this system has processed over 5,000,000 bbls of oily sludge to date.
- System is mobile, compact and easy to operate.
- Meets benzene NESHAP requirements.
This system has processed over 5,000,000 bbls of oily waste since 1986 using the SAREX ® MX-1500 CENTRIFUGE.
The SAREX ® MX-1500 has been utilized in over 50 projects processing from 2,000 bbls to over 500,000 bbls per year.
Over 750,000 bbls of oil have been recovered using the SAREX ® MX-1500 CENTRIFUGE.
- Working area of 20 feet by 60 feet.
- 480 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 300 amp. startup.
- Up to 150 psig, 2,500 lb/hr plant steam.
- 15 psig, 10 gpm plant water.
- Safe lighting for non-daylight use
- Recovered oil and wastewater storage containers.
- Non reinforced 6 inch thick concrete pad with sump.
The CENTRIFUGED solids will pass the EPA 40 CFR 260, 2645, 265 and 270 Paint Filter Test.
The recovered oil will contain less than 2 percent bottom solids & water (BS&W).
Discharged water will meet reasonable customer specifications.
Solids recovered from the MX-1500 centrifuge process can be handled in the following manners:
Direct Landfill disposal
MX-1500 low temperature drying followed by landfill disposal or cement kin recycling
MX-2500 high temperature drying followed by recycling as construction material or landfill disposal
Bioremediation followed by recycling construction material or in site capping
