Engineered Advantage: All liquid contact surfaces are type 304 Stainless Steel (Type 316 Available) Standard Industrial models have clamp-type fittings (100 psi) and include a "T" Strainer on the inlet to prevent large parts from damaging the UV lamps.
The high intensity UV lamps extend full-length of the flow cylinders and are encased with quartz pipes for protection and easy cleaning. Each UV lamp has a pilot light wired in series. The pilot light mounted on the panel face provides indication of lamp operation. The high intensity UV lamps have a service life in excess of 7500 hours. However, we recommend replacement at 7500 hours.
An hour calibrated time-lapse meter can be mounted in the control box to eliminate the need for record keeping. The design of the Safgard unit allows the flow cylinders to be recirculation cleaned and permit installation in a CIP-able pipeline.
Units are available in wall mount, floor mount, and cabinet mount configurations.
