ITC -Â Screw Conveyors for Biogas Plants
AWILA premix infeed screws are an essential component of solid substrate dosing systems in biogas plants. They are used for unloading push floors and vertical mixers and convey the materials to mixing tanks or directly to the digester. Due to the high demands placed on them, all screw conveyors are manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and are fully liquid-tight. AWILA transverse, steep and stuffing screw conveyors are installed internally in guide rails and centre themselves automatically.
A consistent material flow is guaranteed by eliminating end bearings. Material can be conveyed right up to the next screw blade. If large foreign bodies cause tilting, the relevant screw switches off automatically. To prevent adhesion and bridging, each individual screw runs faster than the previous one, thereby guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply to the digester.
