Williamson & Associates - Model BMS -Seafloor Drill

The standard BMS configuration uses conventional coring techniques along with a rotary magazine to obtain 20-30m of core samples from the substrate. Rated to depths of 6000m, the BMS set the world record for coring at depth (5815m) in 2006. The capability and portability of remotely operated coring systems makes them a cost-effective alternative to drill ships for detailed sampling of the upper layers of the seafloor.
