Metal to metal sealing with the same material of the seal/gasket as flanges allow for large fluctuation in temperature still with the same tightness of the seal and flange connection. Stability of the connection

The design of this sealing technology ensures that flange faces completely meet during the tightening of bolts for the connection. This makes the piping system stiff and stable, and one has full control of the sealing force and bolt torque.

 

Easy replacement and installation

The CSS can replace all conventional seals on all types of grove sealing flanges, e.g. RTJ and other commonly used in high pressure applications. Due to the designed shape, there is no risk of incorrect insertion of the CSS.

The CSS eliminates the need for machining and/or replacement (hot work) of flanges due to damaged seal areas in the grooves. The CSS seal engages the bottom of the groove in the flange, not in the traditional seal area/side of the groove as for the RTJ and other solutions.
