Self-Rising Containment Pool
Spill Stop Berm Containment Pools, also known as decontamination pools or spill berms, are used for decontamination and emergency response situations. These self-rising tanks have a circular design that can cover a wide radius under valves, pipes, and leaking machinery. Once in place, tanks will then rise to accommodate liquid as it fills the tank.
These self-rising containment tanks are made using either a PVC or XR-5 material. Both fabrics offer a high resistance to chemicals, oil, and other hazardous liquids, providing a safe containment tank that handle the hazardous nature of these materials. This high resistance to chemicals has equipped these tanks for use in a wide range of applications including:
- Leaks from Saddle Tanks
- Spill Containment Under Hydraulic Lines
- Containment for Loose or Leaking Pipes
- Fast Response to Industrial Incidents
- Decontamination of Spill Equipment
Also known as an onion tank or decontamination pool, these tanks have also been frequently used as firefighting equipment. Providing easy open top storage, firefighters typically fill these tanks with water, allowing quick access to large capacities of water in forest or secluded area fire control efforts.
This decontamination pool is constructed from coated fabrics and contains a foam collar with self-supporting sides. This allows the tank to completely support itself as it collects or stores your containment materials. This foam collar is designed to naturally rise as the tank fills with liquid for hassle free emergency response.
