The Multiscan HD is an innovative gas control unit for monitoring and controlling up to 256 gas detectors. The flexibility includes monitoring gas detectors connected with either 4-20mA or RS 485 communications.

Multiscan HD provides connections for different field modules to the two RS 485 loops in any order to customize the system to various requests and application needs. All devices connected to the loops feature galvanic isolation ensuring the loop will automatically close if any physical break or short circuit occurs within the loop.

Gas detectors can be addressable detectors (using RS-485 RTU interface), daisy chained on the available loops, or analog type with 4-20mA transmission, connected via remote input cards. The controller comes with eight relays onboard and permits expansion up to 256 via remote input card STN-STGIN8S.
