Laboratory measuring systems for measuring the color (L*a*b*) of plastic recyclates and plastic flakes.
Particularly with recyclates and plastic flakes, significant color fluctuations can occur, as this depends on the fluctuating quality of the plastic material to be recycled and also on the sorting process during mechanical recycling.
With the help of the SPECTRO-LAB SYSTEM, color value drifts can now be detected precisely and in a timely manner. The color value L*a*b* and its deviations dL*da*db* including the dE value are displayed numerically. Furthermore, the dL*da*db* values are graphically displayed on the screen in the form of a trend display of the last 100 recorded values. In addition, the system allows the measured values to be saved and the color values to be printed out, including information, for example, about the recyclate name and the date and time of the granulate sample taken.
