Sentech - Subsea HV Penetrator
Suitable for high voltage, deep-water and high-pressure subsea applications. Sentech AS designed and patented an innovative Subsea HV Penetrator technology based on the combination of copper and ceramic (copper material utilized for the conductor and ceramic material utilized for the isolator).
Compared to other solutions available in the market, this technology provides several advantages, for example it eliminates any issues associated with partial discharge (considering that the ceramic material has a very high dielectric constant) and it is suitable for environments with high pressures (both high differential pressures and deep-water depths) and high temperatures, guaranteeing compactness, robustness, and high reliability.
The Subsea HV Penetrator technology is the result of numerous years of field experience where Sentech AS has applied the SeCaP technology to the most challenging process environments or deep-water applications.
Penetrator
The Sentech 10kV Subsea HV Penetrator, is designed in accordance to the following specifications:
- Voltage Uo/U(Um): 6/10(12)kV
- Frequency: 0-100Hz
- Current: 800A (available also for 1.600A and higher currents)
- Design life: 30 years
- Water depth: 3.000m
- External pressure: 310bara (4.500psia) - test 465bara (6.740psia)
- Internal pressure: 1.050bara (15.000psia) - test 1.550bara (test 22.500psia)
- Working temperature range: -17°C to 82°C (API Class T)
