What is SETTApHY?
- SETTApHY is a powerful, all-natural kationic wastewater flocculant. Once added to water, this attracts and aggregates suspended solids, allowing them to settle out of solution.
- SETTApHY powder is extremely easy-to-use, flocculating FOG, biosolids, nitrates, nitrites, phosphates and other organic and inorganic solids within minutes.
- SETTApHY reduces nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and metallic ion loading in wastewater effluent. This cuts down on the potential for algal blooms in runoff and disposal areas.
- SETTApHY acts as a powerful deodorizer, greatly reducing dissolved hydrogen sulfide, methane, ammonia and phosgene levels along with other toxic gases immediately.
- With the removal of these sulfur, phosphorus and nitrate-containing compounds in the water in air phases, their acidic forms (sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid) drop as well, reducing corrosion.
Wastewater treatment facilities face several issues, including toxic and odorous gas buildup along with high dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in their effluent. SETTApHY can be used to flocculate biosolids in both primary settling tanks and secondary dewatering tanks. Toxic gas buildup contributes to the chemical corrosion of internal surfaces and harms beneficial microbes.

Reduces Organic Loading
Anionic nitrates and phosphates along with FOG and other organic matter is aggregated and flocculated from the wastewater by SETTApHY. -
Lowers Ammonia Levels
Toxic gases such as H2S, CO and phosgene are adsorbed onto the large surface area of the SETTApHY powder and flocculated out of solution. -
Improves Settleability
Settling tanks contain a greater percentage of clarified water after flocculation, and a lower volume of sludge will have to be disposed of incoming wastewater. -
Diminishes Odors
Most offensive WWTF odors are caused by the presence of volatile aromatic or sulfur based compounds such as hydrogen sulfide gas. Odorant molecules adhere to the SETTApHY powder and are removed from the air and water phases. -
Compacts Sludge
Allows biosolids to adsorb to SETTApHY and settle out of the solution quickly. This allows for a remarkably clear supernatant. -

Recommended Dosage:
