DSS Valves - Model SSKGV -Severe Service Knife Gate Valve
The DSS Severe Service Knife Gate Valve (SSKGV) is engineered for high-pressure applications where reliability and endurance are critical. Featuring a unique Guided Shear Gate design, this valve combines a shearing tip with internal gate guides to effectively cut through various media, including solids, scale, fiber, and paste. Extensively tested and adhering to API, ASME, and MSS specifications up to ASME Class 1500/PN 250 with the capability to go higher, the SSKGV ensures zero leakage in bi-directional flow. The valve is built to mitigate common issues such as pipe turbulence, erosion, and leakage while maintaining structural integrity under severe service conditions. DSS Valves also offer extensive actuation options, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and electro-hydraulic systems, customized to meet specific user requirements. The DSS Severe Service Knife Gate Valve (SSKGV) is our premier valve. This design didn’t happen overnight though; our team of engineers spent decades improving and perfecting every last detail so that you can be confident it will do what you need it to. The bi-directional zero-leakage design exceeds API, ASME, and MSS specifications all the way up to ASME Class 1500/PN 250 (3750 psig/250 barg) – but we’ll go higher if you want us to.
The key differentiation to the Severe Service Knife Gate Valve is the Guided Shear Gate design. Composed of a shearing tip and internal gate guides, this design feature ensures our SSKGVs can cut through all media including solids, scale , fiber and paste.
