Work Performed
Using the Smooth Coat formula to cure against wet concrete inside a manhole.
The Problem
A total of 3 Manholes needed a smoother slide factor as waste was sticking to the concrete causing sewer blockages and exposure.
Results
A plastic screed was used to apply the smooth coat product to the open channel inside the pits. We were able to successfully apply the smooth coat to all 3 manholes. The 3 x manhole open channels were successfully rehabilitated using the Smooth Coat product. Once cured the manholes were put back into service and waste was no longer catching.
Alternatives
The only other alternatives was to smash out the benching with faulty channel and build new from scratch. This would of taken a lot more man hours and costs involved with the process. Using the smooth coat
