Shandong-Buoy - Model PCCP -UHMWPE Water Pipe
The traditional water supply and drainage pipelines like PCCP pipes, steel pipes, FRP pipes are connected by socket welding and sealed with rubber washers which results in serious leakage with an average leakage rate of 15~30%. High Pressure Resistance

When placing traditional pipelines of PCCP, steel, FRP, we have to damage roads, plants and buildings while there is no need to excavate for installation of UHMWPE pipelines but for small tunneling machine to pull and place it. The length of pipeline placed at one time can reach 1000m.
Advantage of UHMWPE pipes in water projects in narrow area
UHMWPE pipe is light in weight and flexible. It can pass by the obstacles within the range of its bend radius. There is lower area compensation, and smaller excavation area, no need of large scale lifting machine, base and sand filling when placing the UHMWPE pipeline, only to push the connected pipeline into the pipe ditch, fill the earth in and compact it.
Advantage of UHMWPE pipes when pipeline crossing rivers
For PCCP, steel, FRP pipes, it is in need of reclamationdam, cement base when the pipeline is crossing rivers. Meanwhile, for UHMWPE pipes, it can be installed with non-excavation techniques or excavating pipe ditch to install without cement base. UHMWPE pipe has unique advantage than others.
Advantage of UHMWPE pipe in wetland projects
With characteristics of non-base, easy installation, low cost, fast and safe operation when the UHMWPE pipe are placed in wetland, it solves problems of PCCP, steel, FRP pipe like being necessary for large cement base, difficult to installation, dangerous operation, and difficult to maintain.
