How does a thermal mass flow meter for industrial applications work? An insertion thermal air flow sensor provides precision measurement of total mass flow rate of gases flowing through closed conduits such as pipes and ducts. Thermal dispersion technology for direct mass flow measurement features: no pressure or temperature compensation needed, no moving parts, low pressure drop, and high turndown.
