Siloxa - Model FERROXA -Iron Hydroxide for H2S Reduction
FERROXA is a pure, natural iron hydroxide that effectively and preventatively reduces the formation of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the digester. The purity of FERROXA eliminates the need for additional sediment input. It does not originate from water treatment processes and, therefore, contains virtually no heavy metals.
Iron hydroxide is introduced along with fermentation substrates to reduce hydrogen sulfide (H2S) during fermentation. Ferroxa and Ferroxa+ are pure natural iron hydroxide product. Due their high iron content, the extra amount of material added into the fermenter is low, and because of the purity of Ferroxa and Ferroxa+, there are no additional sediments.
FERROXA+ is a blend of iron hydroxide (25%) and synthetic iron (40%). Its unique composition and high iron content (32%) enable a very rapid curative action to reduce H2S levels. To ensure long-lasting effectiveness, FERROXA+ is always used in conjunction with FERROXA at a ratio of 1 volume of FERROXA+ to 2 volumes of FERROXA.
