S.K Euromarket - Model Bioset Series -Wastewater Treatment Plants - MBBR
Bioset wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) are prefabricated and ready for on-site assembly and above ground installation. They are designed to serve municipal sewage or various industrial applications.
Bioset WWTPs are proprietary designs of Euromarket and are based on the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) treatment process coupled with a separate lamella plate settler.
The MBBR process is based on the development of an aerobic bacteria culture on a protected plastic media surface. The media are kept in suspension by air that is diffused into an aerobic reactor, or with the use of mixing devices in the case of anoxic denitrification reactors. In turn, the bacteria population biodegrades the organic waste compounds. For sedimentation purposes, a lamella plate settler is employed and the final effluent is of excellent quality.
Different Bioset models are offered with respect to capacity and treatment configuration.
- Separate pretreatment unit (FOG and grit removal) which performs collection, balancing and pumping of raw wastewater into the reactor. It is normally installed underground and instead of stainless steel it could be made of concrete
- Mono-block Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) which performs compartmental BOD5 removal, nitrification (optional) and denitrification (optional). The reactor may have rectangular or circular shape in response to any project-specific available space conditions
- A lamella plate settler is as a separate unit coupled to the MBBR
- Separate tank for final effluent collection and disinfection before discharge
- Separate control cabinet to house the air blowers, control unit, and dosing stations for chlorine and coagulant/flocculant when required
- All Bioset WWTP tanks made of stainless steel AISI 304 (or AISI 316 upon demand)
- Aeration system made of stainless steel
- All wet parts made of corrosion free materials (i.e. stainless steel, UPVC, PE or other plastics)
- Biofilm media carriers made of HDPE
- Robustness on load variations
- Tolerance of influent disturbances
- Odourless operation
- Low energy requirements and low running cost
- Excellent effluent quality suitable for irrigation
- Very small footprint
- Simple and fast installation
- Ability to be relocated
- Ability to adapt to limited space requirements, by increasing the height of the MBBR reactor and reducing the footprint.
