Slaghog - Slag Removal Tool for Laser Cutting Machines
The Slaghog is a crucial tool designed for efficient slag and dross removal from laser cutting support surfaces, suitable for lasers up to 12kW with a minimum slat spacing of 1.75 inches. Built to address the needs of high-precision laser cutting operations, it effectively cleans copper, steel, or hybrid steel/copper slats. With its rotary cutting mechanisms, it removes accumulated slag by gliding smoothly along each side of the slat. Its single operator operation allows the tool to function on the unused bed while the machine remains active, enhancing time efficiency by cleaning a standard bed in approximately 15 minutes. The device comes with interchangeable cutters to cater to varying operational needs, and is easily portable and storable. The Slaghog® ships in two pieces: the power unit and the handle assembly, and comes with all necessary metric fasteners for assembly.
Quickly and easily remove tough slag and dross buildup from your laser support surface. The Slaghog® works on Copper as well as Steel support slats and can be operated on the unused laser bed while the machine is running. Perform cleaning from one side of cutting bed with a single operator.

Slag Removal Tool for use on laser cutting machines
The tool is moved along the slats on the bed of a laser machine to remove slag that accumulates while cutting. Rotary cutting tools ride on each side of the slat to lift and remove the slag. It may be used on steel, copper or hybrid steel/copper slats. When not in use it may be rolled along the floor and stored in the upright position.
