Compass Remediation - Sodium Permanganate for Soil and Groundwater Remediation

Compass provides remediation-grade sodium permanganate (NaMnO4) exclusively for treatment of soil and groundwater contamination. Our permanganates are tested for trace metals to ensure we are providing only the purest sodium permanganate for your in situ remediation projects.

We offer delivery of standard 40% solutions in totes and drums, as well as custom blended solutions of sodium permanganate directly to your site in totes and bulk tankers. This eliminates the need for on-site mixing and the health and safety concerns that go along with mixing in the field.

Permanganates are well-suited for many remediation applications as they do not require activation, are applicable over a wide pH range, and their presence is easy to detect in monitoring wells.

In situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) using sodium permanganate is a proven remediation technology that is safe and cost-effective. The active oxidant is the permanganate anion (MnO4-), a strong oxidant which can persist and react with COCs several months after injections are complete.

Compass offers sodium permanganate both in standard packaging of IBC totes and steel drums at 20% and 40% solutions as well as custom blending for quantities greater than 3000 gallons, deliverable by tanker or in totes. Our custom blending and delivery solutions are tailored to your project and site requirements.
