The SOEKS Ecotester, 2 in 1 device, is used for instant measurement of nitrate content in fruits, vegetables, fresh meat, and baby foods. In addition to measuring nitrates in food products, it will also detect contamination by radioactive elements in all foodstuffs, construction materials, as well as your local environment. Checking the content and the amount of nitrates in the analyzed product is achieved by piercing the product with the probe located at the base of the device.

Unlike outdated devices that have a needle to itemize food products in combined groups, the SOEKS EcoTester is pre-programmed with the MPC (Maximum Permissible Concentration) for each specific product in accordance with SanPin 2.3.2.1078-01. Simply switch the device on, choose a product from the list, and instantly view the results. The exact amount of nitrate content in the analyzed product will be displayed, in addition to recommendations on suitability for consumption:
Normal Concentration of Nitrates - Safe
Insignificant Excess of Standard - Reasonably safe
Significant Excess of Standard - Best to avoid
Dangerous Concentration of Nitrates - DO NOT EAT
The dosimeter will estimate the background radiation in respect of ion radiation intensity (gamma radiation and beta-particle stream) as well as X-ray radiation levels.
During measurement, the screen displays the current value of the level of background radiation in mSv/hr (uSv/h) or mR/hr (pR/h). Each analysis will be accompanied by one of the following messages:
GREEN - Normal Background Radiation (safe)
AMBER - High Background Radiation (avoid)
RED - Dangerous Background Radiation (RUN!)
As an example, if you placed the device above some mushrooms and the device gave a green readout, you would know the mushrooms were safe for consumption. If, however, the readout was yellow, you would be well-advised not to purchase them. And, in the event you got a red readout, you would not even want to touch them!
The SOEKS EcoTester weighs only 66 g (without batteries) making it ideal to keep in your pocket or handbag when shopping for food.
