Our systems are REAL TIME LIVE high definition video systems, up to 30 megapixel image size. Because our systems are live, we offer advanced features such as video analytics and 2-way audio that can function as a proactive video security system to detect and deter intruders. Real time monitoring can be automated, self monitored or monitored through our central station monitoring service.

Embedded Video Management System (VMS) and Storage

Most of our solar powered camera wireless systems include an embedded, fully functional video management system. Video storage can be to SD cards on-board the camera or SSD drives when using an embedded fanless industrial computer. This creates a 100% fully autonomous stand-alone system.

Embedded Video Analytics for a Smarter Camera System

Video analytics embedded at the camera level are capable of specifically identifying humans and vehicles. Analytics can filter out all motion and events EXCEPT humans or vehicles.

4G/LTE Cellular or Point-to-Point Wireless Communications

Solar powered camera systems typically use a point-to-point wireless system if high speed internet service is available locally or 4G/LTE cellular communications.

Ruggedized for Harsh Environments and Extreme Temperatures

Our systems are designed for harsh environments & extreme temperatures. Standard certified operating temperature range is -22F to 140F with options for extended temperature ranges.

Turnkey Design

Solar electric power plant includes an adjustable solar array, mounting brackets, pre-wired lockable enclosure with battery bank, charge controller, lightning protection and circuit breakers for the solar, battery and load banks. Includes power injectors and cabling to connect to cameras and other devices as required.

Mounting Options, Easy Installation

Systems can be mounted in many ways including: pole mounted, wall, roof, tower, ground, skid or trailer. Custom build/design mounts available upon request. System installation is easy, no technical skills required.

iPhone, iPad, Android and most other mobile devices provide you with live access to your camera system or playback to review recorded images and video. If system is set up to detect intrusions, you and/or your monitoring service will instantly receive an email alert with a photo or video clip of the event, allowing for immediate action such as talking directly to the intruder, playing recorded messages or sirens, turning on strobe lights or white LED lights.

Insolation means the total amount of solar radiation energy received on a given surface area during a given time.

Your solar power plant will be designed and built based on your total system power requirement, duty cycle and geographic location to ensure that your system is cost-effective and reliable.

Most autonomous live camera systems require a video management system (VMS) and storage onboard the camera. 

Mobotix cameras include an embedded VMS. For storage, Mobotix cameras support industrial grade 256GB SD cards. The power requirement for Mobotix outdoor ready cameras is 5-8 watts. This combination of features and functionality make Mobotix our most popular camera for solar powered projects.

AXIS offers a very wide range of cameras that include fixed cameras up to 33MP image size, thermal cameras and many pan-tilt-zoom models to choose from. AXIS cameras do not include a full featured VMS, however, AXIS is one of a few manufacturers that is supported by Exacq Edge VMS, which can run on a 256GB SD card, on-board an AXIS camera.

Another VMS option to consider for a stand-alone camera system is to run a VMS and storage on an embedded fanless industrial computer with solid state drives (SSD). This requires an outdoor rated NEMA enclosure to provide protection from the elements, and increases the system cost due to additional components and related increase in power requirements.
