Brought to you through TQC Sheen, the digital Sound Level Meter is highly accurate, reliable, and so easy to use.

Relied upon by health professionals, industrial safety officers and sound quality control engineers, our sensitive but robust device is ideal for many environments.

Highly accurate sound testing tech

Our sound level meter features a half-inch electret condenser microphone for a measuring level range of between 30 and 130 decibels at frequencies between 31.5 and 8k hertz.

This high-tech sound testing device offers you precise measurements, achieving a reliable accuracy of ±1.5dB under reference conditions.

Complies with sound level testing standards

Our sound testing machine is fully compliant with the sound level meter requirements of:

  • The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 606551 (type 2) testing standard
  • American National Standards Institute (ANSI) S1.4 (type 2) testing standard

How does bespoke testing sound?

At the push of a button, you get to choose from two sound pressure level recording options. The first choice (option A) is for general sound level measurements. When you select the second choice (option C) you’ll be able to check for low-frequency noise content.

The sound level meter features time-weighted functionality. You can select the fast response (F) setting to capture normal measurements and fast-varying noise. Or you can choose the slow response (S) option which is for checking the average level of fluctuating noise.

Weather-protected sound level reading

Don’t let windy weather blow your sound level recording efforts off course! Our meter features a handy windscreen so that you can enjoy accurate exterior results. It’s good for wind speeds of up to 10 meters per second. If you need to use the sound level meter in windier conditions, place some additional wind shields in front of the microphone.

This hardy instrument is great for all types of environments and can be operated at ambient 0-40°C temperatures. It can be used in relative humidity conditions of up to 90% and at altitudes up to 2,000 meters.

Portable and protected sound level testing

Our sound level meter is robust and made to last – protected throughout with either double – or reinforced – insulation. Despite this, it weighs in at just 230g (including battery), so it’s perfectly portable in the handy carry case it comes with.

Energy efficient sound level testing

You need just one 9V battery (OD6P, IEC 6F22 or NEDA 1604) to power the sound level meter for up to 50 hours of use. To make sure that you get the most out of your battery, the device switches itself off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.
