Spartan - Model SPARTOX A -Industrial Ozone Water Treatment System
The highly reliable SPARTOX A series industrial ozone water treatment system has the highest level of instrumentation. Self-contained, fully integrated and skid mounted. Learn more about the SPARTOX A system and its piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID). SPARTOX industrial ozone water treatment systems are turnkey packages that are easy to install, operate, and maintain. These systems produce ozone and mix it with water on a fully integrated skid. To ensure high reliability, the systems are fully tested at the factory prior to shipment. The SPARTOX water treatment system is fully customizable and comes in three basic packages with different levels of instrumentation and control.
Packages in sizes up to 120 g/hr include:
- on board oxygen concentrator with compressor
- on board oxygen concentrator with external compressor, or
- no oxygen concentrator (existing oxygen source available)
Packages in sizes larger than 120 g/hr include:
- on board oxygen concentrator with external compressor, or
- no oxygen concentrator (existing oxygen source available)
Standard systems come integrated and mounted on a skid with a small foot print. Ozone concentrations of 5-10% are achievable with the system based on power settings and gas flow rate. On board oxygen supply makes the unit self sufficient, no need for compressed air. Spartan designs the injection system to achieve 90% or better ozone transfer efficiency under normal conditions.
Backflow Preventer SystemSpartan’s Triple Guard™ backflow preventer system protects the ozone generator from backflow. Backflow of water into the ozone generator will severely damage the system. Simple check valves are not sufficient protection. The Triple Guard™ system employs check valves, a liquid trap, vacuum switch and solenoid valves to prevent backflow from reaching the ozone generator (see system schematic below).
The system has both manual and automatic controls, the latter feature supported by a PLC. The SPARTOX comes with an ozone safety system, an ambient ozone monitor that senses ozone levels in the air around the system and shuts down the equipment if those levels are too high.
