1940 Change of name to ”FILTROX Werk Hans Schmid AG”.
1946 Foundation of ”FILTROX Maschinenbau AG” for the manufacturing of filter equipment.
1949 Presentation of the first FILTRODUR® precoat filter sheet for filtration of beer with diatomaceous earth.
1957 Introduction of the horizontal pressure leaf filter ”FILTER-O-MAT 100” for precoat filtration of beverages.
1960 Inauguration of a new manufacturing building for production of equipment.
1968 Introduction of the ”FILTROstar” candle filter, the first candle filter worldwide for the filtrati on of beverages.

1988 Acquisition of Carlson Filtration Ltd., a former competitor based in Barnoldswick, UK.
1998 Joint-venture with Skolnik Family to form Hobra-Skolnik s.r.o. in Broumov, CZ.
2000 Foundation of FILTROX France s.a.r.l in Beaune.
2001 Acquistion of Papelera del Besos Placas Filtrantes s.l., a former competitor based in Barcelona, Spain.
2002 Market launch of the PURAFIX® filter sheet line, specifically designed for the pharmaceutical market.
2003 Acquisition of majority stake in Filtercorp LLC, transformation into Clarification Technology Inc. to operate as sales office in the North American market.
2007 Foundation of FILTROX Microfiltraciones SA de CV, a sales office in Mexico.
2008 Foundation of FILTROX (Shanghai) Filtration Systems. Co. Ltd., the group’s sales and distribution center in China.
2011 Innovation Award at SIMEI Milan for FIBRAFIX® TX-R, a filter to remove TCA (cork taste) from wine.
2012 Innovation Award at ACHEMA Frankfurt for FILTRODISC™ BIO SD, a new system for the filtration of cell cultures in the biotech industry.
2012 Sale of FILTROX Engineering AG to Bucher Unipektin AG – in order to focus again only on filter media and media-carrying apparatus.
2013 Acquisition of majority stake in Columbia Filter Co. de Mexico SA de CV in Tlanepantla, Mexico.
Innovation Award at TechnoPharm Nuremberg for self-centering filter sheets in NOVOX® OD filter press.
