Monel 400/K500 fasteners is a low-strength alloy in the annealed conditions. However, a variety of methods are used to enhance its strength. Type 400 offers high toughness, corrosion resistance and good weldability and fabricability. Monel 400 is generally applicable across marine engineering, chemical and hydrocarbon processing equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, etc.

The Monel 500 alloy has higher tensile strength and toughness than the Monel 400 alloy. At appropriate temperatures, it also has low permeability and non-magnetic properties. Due to the addition of aluminum and titanium, dimensional stability is improved. Pump shafts, instruments, doctor blades, propeller shafts, and other items commonly use it. It has a melting point of up to 1350 degrees Celsius. It also has excellent mechanical and physical properties; following age-hardening, Type 500`s mechanical qualities are more than three times that of those Type 400 at temperatures up to 650ºC. Monel 500 Fastener is used in various industries, including chemical, shipbuilding, and marine industries.
