Established in 1975, based in Co Down on a 21 acre site including 35,000m2 of covered industrial manufacturing and storage facilities, with satellite production facilities at its Dunmore plant and Aughlisnafin road depots.
As BCSA members approved to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 50001:2018, and CE Execution Class 4 we provide a product to the highest levels of quality, health and safety and performance.
Walter Watson have developed an enviable client list of public and private sector clients including most of the UKs leading contractors. Contracts cover many different sectors including, health, education, retail, leisure, residential, commercial, industrial, airports, and power stations, successfully completing contracts up to 7500t in size.
A policy of continuous investment has allowed the development of an extremely efficient production facility. Our detailing and design team convey accurate requirements to the CNC systems using a BIM compatible Tekla 3D modelling system linked to our production facility. The factory is equipped with CNC controlled saw lines, drill lines, 3D and 2D plasma coping machines, flat lines, angle lines, plate lines shot blasting and painting facilities.
Steelwork is delivered to site by our own transport and erection carried out by our experienced erection squads and plant. This provides total control of all site based operations, allowing us to react quickly to changing site conditions and client requirements.
Complimented by our own transport division, structural steel site erection is implemented by our own plant and personnel. All operatives are fully trained including SMSTS, SSSTS, AP’s, CPCS, CSCS, CSR and IPAF disciplines. Our crane fleet comprises 7 mobile units ranging from 50 tonne to 80 tonne capacity. Other site plant includes telescopic forklifts and over 40 number MEWP’s ranging from 19ft to 135ft working height.
